It is a non-political, non-religious organisation working to meet its main objectives:
 
Enhance and Foster : relationships, understanding, goodwill and co-operation between Sri Lankans, Australians and other ethnic groups .
Promote and provide facilities for educational, cultural, social, welfare, sports and recreational activities.
